Report has emerged that French giant, Paris Saint German are in talks with Nice French attacking midfielder, Hatem Ben Arfa, who is available on a free transfer.
The former Newcastle United of England midfilder's contract with Nice expired this summer, and he has attracted interest from a number of clubs following a brilliant campaign in Ligue 1 last season.
The 29-year-old contributed 18 goals and six assists in 37 appearances in all competitions for the French outfit last term.
Clubs like Sevilla, Lyon and current champion of England, Leicester City have all been linked with the French man but a move to the Paris club he supported as a boy could prove to be too good to turn down.
However, Lyon's president Jean Michel Aulas insists the race for his signature is far from over.
Aulas in a statement said "Ben Arfa, it is a question of passion. He is close to our desire, our enthusiasm, to our fans. I think that he really wants to join Lyon,"
According to Aulas, he believes Leicester City are in pole position to secure the services Frenchman.
"I believe that it is more Leicester City in terms of the direction he is heading. That is what people have told me who spoke to him on the phone this afternoon."
