Europa League: All Spanish Semi-Final As Sevilla Face Valencia



Its an all Spanish affair at the semi-final stage of the Europa League as the draw has pitch Sevilla against fellow La Liga team Valencia.


Both Liga teams posted an emphatic victory over their opponents in the quater final stage to advance into the semifinal stage; Valencia overturn a 3-0 first-leg deficit to beat Swiss champions Basel 5-3 on aggregate and Sevilla recorded a 4-2 aggregate win over Porto.

Else where, Serie A leaders Juventus will face last year's Europa League finalists Benfica with Jorge Jesus's side, drawn at home in the first leg.

The first legs will be on 24 April, and the return legs on 1 May, with the final to be played at the Juventus Stadium in Turin next month.

Antonio Conte's side, are eight points clear at the top of Serie A and unbeaten in 12 Europa League matches, since a 4-1 defeat at Fulham in the last 16 in March 2010.

They secured a 3-1 aggregate quarter-final victory over Lyon by winning their second leg 2-1 in France on Thursday.

Benfica are the only one of the four semi-finalists never to have won either the Europa League or its predecessor, the Uefa Cup.

The Portuguese Primeira Liga leaders beat Dutch side AZ to reach the last four.
