Arsenal Completes The Signing Of Kallstrom From Spartak Moscow
Arsenal FC has announced on their official website the loan signing of Sweden international, Kim Kallstrom from Spartak Moscow until the end of the season.
Arsene Wenger was forced to shop for a midfielder as Aaron Ramsey is confirmed to be out for a further six weeks due to a fresh injury and Wilshere is also ruled out for two weeks coupled with the suspension of Mathieu Flamini for four premier league games.
The 31 year old emerge a shock transfer target for Arsenal in the early hours of day as it became clear that Wenger's number one target for the position, Blaise Matuidi is set to extend his contract with PSG and Southampton's unreasonable €18 million valuation of Morgan Schneiderlin.
Kalllstrom in his first interview with his new club expressed hi delight at joining the club and hopes to be influential in the achieving success at the club.
"Arsenal is an amazing club with a lot of great players and a coach who has done really well here for a long time. I am so pleased to come here to learn as much as possible.
"I'm here to do my best for Arsenal and to help out the team, so we can achieve good results for the last part of the season." Kallstrom said
Arsenal has also confirmed that their new acquisition will be eligible to take part in the remainder of their Champions League fixtures, despite featuring for his former club in the Europa League play-offs and the left-footed midfielder could make his Arsenal debut during Sunday's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.
