Chelsea Manager, Jose Mourinho has confirmed that the duo of inform Goalkeeper, Petr Cech and inspirational Captain, John Terry are ruled out for the rest of the season due to injury.
The two players coincidentally got injured during the UEFA Champions League first leg semi-final goalless encounter against Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon on Tuesday.
Cech was escorted off the pitch with a dislocated shoulder after colliding with Raul Garcia while making routine save from a corner and was taken straight to hospital for scans, while John Terry twisted his left ankle 71st minute, after landing awkwardly from a challenge on Diego Costa.
According to Mourinho, Chelsea would need to reach the final of the Champions League in order for John Terry to play again this term.
"Petr Cech's season is over," Mourinho told reporters after the match.
"For John [Terry], we will have to play the final for him to play again."
The duo will now miss Sunday's all important Premier League title clash with Liverpool at Anfield along with Chelsea's Champions League semi-final second leg against Atletico Madrid at Stamford Bridge on April 30.
John Obi Mikel and Frank Lampard will also be absent for the second leg due to suspension but Branislav Ivanovic will be available after serving his ban.
