Brazil's national football team Coach, Luiz Felipe Scolari, is to face a criminal investigation on tax evasion reports from Portugal says.
The allegations are believed to be connected to Mr Scolari's time as a coach of Portugal's national team between 2003 and 2008.
In a statement by Mr Scolari, he denied any wrong doing, saying he has always declared his earnings in all the countries he worked.
"I am absolutely convinced of the correctness of my declarations. If there is something wrong, it is not of my doing," Mr Scolari's statement reads.
The allegations come less than a month before the start of the World Cup.
The attorney general's office in Portugal confirmed a criminal investigation had been opened but gave no further details.
