Ryan Giggs was born in Cardiff, Wales to a Sierra Leone father Danny Wilson and Welsh mother Lynne Giggs, on November 29, 1973, but was brought up in Pendlebury, England.
Danny Wilson, Ryan Giggs dad was also a sport man, but unlike his son, he plays Rugby. Danny Wilson is a former rugby union and rugby league player, he played rugby union for Cardiff RFC as a fly-half and rugby league as a Stand-off/Five-eighth for Wales and at club level Widnes, Swinton, Runcorn Highfield and Springfield Borough.
Giggs' father won five caps for Wales while at Swinton, in 1981–82 and 1984
Ryan Giggs move to England when he was seven as his father signed to play for the rugby union and later adopted his mother's maiden name when his dad separated from his mom.
