Arsenal Manager, Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Mesut Ozil will miss a minimum of three weeks due to a hamstring injury.
Ozil last featured for his team in the Gunners' Champions League 1-1 draw at the Allianz Arena against Bayern Munich on Tuesday but was substituted at half-time, it later emerge that the Germany international sustained a hamstring injury in the early stages of the match.
Wenger admit that Ozil will be missing from action for sometime contrary to early believe that he was substituted to rest for the weekend fixture against Tottenham.
"It's a blow to lose Ozil but I'm confident we have the quality to deal without him. We have many good players in our squad."
"When the minimum is three, the maximum is six so let's say four weeks," the Gunners boss told reporters.
There is however a respite for the North Londoners as they welcome Kim Kallstrom back from injury. Kallstrom joined Arsenal from Spartak Moscow on loan on the last day of the January transfer window but has not featured ever since.
When asked about the fitness level of Kallstrom, Wenger declared that he is available for the weekend's fixture. "Kallstrom is back in the squad and will be available for Sunday." Wenger said.
