Switzerland scored twice in the second half to overturn Ecuador's lead and grab all three points in thier Group E opening game of the World Cup.
Enner Valencia had given Ecuador the lead when he headed home a Walter Ayovi freekick in the first half before substitute Admir Mehmedi played Switzerland back into the game with a header from corner kick and just when the game seems set to end in stalemate, Haris Seferovic struck to put the game at 2-1.
