Former Chelsea striker, Samuel Eto'o is due to have a medical with Everton on Tuesday after discussion over a possible deal.
The Cameroon international's Chelsea contract was not extended when it expired in the summer and he was subsequently released by the west London club
Eto'o's representatives spoke with Everton last week prior to resuming talks with Liverpool.
The 33 year old striker is believed have agreed a two-year deal with Everton subject to passing the medicals.
The Cameroon international has had to lower his wage demands having earned £130,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge last season.
Eto'o turned down the chance to sign for Ajax after the deadline for an agreement passed at 6pm last Wednesday.
