Valencia Defeats Barcelona 3-2 At Camp Nou
Valencia shock Barcelona by defeating the catalans three goals to two at Camp Nou making them the first La Liga side apart from Real Madrid to leave the Camp Nou without a defeat since October 2011.
Gerardo Martino's men got off to a good start as Alexis Sanchez saw his one-time shot from a Messi low cross loop past Valencia keeper Diego Alves to give Barcelona the lead with just seven minutes of game time played.
Valencia however drew level despite the dominance of the host as Dani Parejo stole the ball in the middle and found
Sofiane Feghouli before tapping in the Algerian's low cross.
The Visitors went ahead three minutes into the second half; Paco Alcacer flicked on Antonio Barragan's cross and Piatti rose highest beating Dani Alves in the air to head beyond Valdes.
Barcelona drew level courtsey a Lionel Messi Penalty. Costa was pressumed to have handled the ball inside box and Messi confidently buried the penalty in the top-right corner.
The lead did not last long however as Valencia got the advantage back in the 59th minute when Feghouli charged into the right side of the area before cutting a low cross back into the area for Alcacer to shoot a first-time effort past the helpless Valdes.
Barcelona were reduced to ten men in the 83rd minute as left back, Jordi Alba was issued a second yellow card and was sent off the pitch, compounding the woes of his team.
The Catalan giant still remain at the top of the La Liga table with 54points despite the defeat.
A win for Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid however will inadventently push barcelona to third position.
