Stoke Gets First Defeat Over United In 30years

The tide seems to be becoming more firce for Manchester United as they Slum to a surprising 1-2 defeat at Stoke City.

Charlie Adam scored a brace to hand Stoke their first league win over Manchester United since 1984 on a miserable afternoon for the current champions.
 United on a windy afternoon fielded his strongest side available, with new acquisition, Juan Mata, fit again duo of Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney all started the days match.

Stoke took the lead when Charlie Adams 30yard free-kick was deflected in by Micheal Carrick leaving David De Gea stranded. Things got worse as Johnny Evans was forced off the pitch by a thigh injury early in the game.

Just when United were getting back into the game, United suffered another injury casualty when Phil Jones fell awkwardly after he clashed with Jon Walters and had to be carried off.

United however drew level when Mata teamed up  with Van Persie for a neat finish past Begovic giving the Spaniard his second assist in two games for United.

The game was only level for five minutes as Charlie Adams struck again with with a Forocious shot which left De Gea startled.

Stoke almost got more goals as Marko Arnautovic saw his curling shot go wide and substitute Oussama Assaidi volleying over.

United almost pulled level but Rooney's late minute freekick was tipped onto the bar by Begovic.

The loss leaves the reigning champion in 7th position with 40points and takes stoke to 11th with 25points
