A recent report in Spain has it that Real Madrid striker, Alvaro Morata has agreed to join Arsenal in the summer, after initial move to join the Gunners failed.
A source close to the player states that Morata will “push for Madrid to accept Arsenal’s offer”, but added with caution that a deal will only be completed if - “I repeat IF, I insist IF” - the two clubs agree a fee.
Morata, 21, was strongly linked with a loan move to the Emirates Stadium last month - but the Gunners failed to land their man after Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti revealed that the Spain Under-21 international had not asked to leave the Bernabeu.
With first-team opportunities limited, and the recent form of teammate Jesé RodrÃguez this season, it’s believed that Morata would now be open to leaving Bernabeu and joining Arsene Wenger’s team in north London.
Morata has scored three goals in 21 appearances this season, but showcased his immense potential last summer by securing the UEFA European Under-21 Championship Golden Boot award.
