EPL Roundup
The week 23 fixtures of the English premier league has been completed and the log table is beginning to take form, series of mouth-watering results at several venues, with the most number of goals scored coming from the Villa park in a seven goals thriller.
The week sees some big names returning to winning ways and some loosing scandalously, some dropping points and some other putting in a superlative defence to keep their opponent out.
Manchester City continued from where they stopped in their 6-0 drubbing of Tottenham to even inflict more on them by defeating them 5 goals to one, a victory that takes them to the top of the table as Arsenal dropped two points in their 2-2 draw away to Southampton at Saint Mary’s.
Manchester United returned to winning ways after series of poor results which have seen them crash out of both Capital-One cup and the FA cup, and they currently lie 7th on the log table as they were boosted with the acquisition of Juan Mata from Chelsea and the return of Van Persie and Wayne Rooney from injury.
Chelsea on the other hand failed to take advantage of Arsenal's draw at Saint Mary's to move ahead on the table as series of good defending by Westham and failure to convert begging chances see them play a goalless draw with their London neighbours.
Liverpool took the bull by the horn in their Merseyside derby against Everton by defeating them four goals to nothing.
Aston Villa came from three goals down to beat Westbrom 4-3 in a thrilling encounter.
The EPL is fast becoming more interesting and teams are really doing everything to stay off relegation; for those who are at the bottom of the table, and the race for the tittle is fast becoming more fierce.
