Monaco has beaten Tottenham Hotspur to the services of prolific striker, Dimitar Barbatov, has he is billed to sign for the Ligue one side after completing his medicals on Friday.
The London based club were believed to have secured the services of the Fulham forward in a bid to bring him back to the club for a second time but they were swayed aside but the French side who looks to just have modalities settled before announcing the deal.
The Bulgarian striker landed in Monaco Friday morning to complete his transfer to the Ligue 1 side before the transfer window closes in the evening.
The French club made their move for Berbatov after Radamel Falcao was ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
